Welcome to our Youth and Community Work pages. Here you can find information about our forthcoming books in the Empowering Youth and Community Work Practice series.

This series provides learning support texts which integrate theory, knowledge and practice for students on youth and community work courses in qualifying training and education. The value base of youth and community work is an essential feature of this series and each book clearly indicate the ways in which anti-oppressive, empowering and inclusive practice is addressed. Each book offers an account of the theoretical frameworks commonly used to explore the topic area, and a range of practice examples from a variety of settings which enable the development of reflective practice and the learning of practice skills.
